Where Summer Never Has to End

Are you ready for it to start getting cold?
Most of the country is getting ready right now. And fall itself is lovely, the leaves turning, the light going amber, that first crisp morning. Nobody minds that part.
It's what comes after that nobody looks forward to. The shutting in. The months where everyone retreats into their own house, their own room, their own screen.
At Sunset Point, it doesn't have to end.
Warmth, in every sense
San Diego is regularly ranked as having the best year-round weather in the country and among the top two anywhere in the world, with more than 260 pleasant days a year. September and October are quietly some of its finest months, once the summer crowds have gone home.
But the warmth we care about at Sunset Point Estate isn't only the temperature.
It's still splashing in the pool at nine at night, and the waterfalls in the grotto that no child under twelve will get out of. It's an unhurried table of people who haven't all been in the same room since last year. It's a pickleball game nobody is scoring, where your teenager talks to you properly for the first time in months. It's the trails when someone needs an hour alone, and the movie theater and the game room when the evening goes long.
And it's golden hour, which is the reason for our name. Every evening the light comes in low and warm across the grounds, and whoever scattered during the day drifts back to the terrace and the hot tub without anyone arranging it. That hour does something to a family. The conversations that happen in it are the ones people take home.

Come be part of it
We didn't build this for people who want a packed itinerary. We built it for families who want room to find each other again.
Four generations under one roof, enough space that nobody is on top of anybody, and enough unclaimed hours that closeness happens on its own. Many families arrive a little out of practice with each other. Give them a few slow, warm days and they sort that out themselves.
Somewhere else, the year is already closing in. Here, it stays open a while longer, and there's a place at the table for you.
So before you pack summer away for the year, ask yourself one thing: what would your family do with a week where nothing had to end?
